WHO IS BLACKPINK?

Blackpink is a South Korean girl group that has been gaining popularity since its debut. Though the first member joined YG Entertainment as a trainee in 2010, it wasn’t until 2016 when they released “Square One”. The group’s sound is mostly a mix of K-pop, EDM, and hip hop with some songs being described as having elements from all three genres.

BLACKPINK MEMBERS

The four members of this group are Jisoo, Jennie, Lisa, and Rosé.

Jennie (24) – The first member of the girl group to be signed on as a trainee and confirmed by management, she was only 14.
Lisa (23) – She is a Thai rapper and the second trainee at YG Entertainment in 2011.
Jisoo (25) – She started out as a trainee before landing his spot in the band the same year as Lisa.
Rosé (23) – The final member of the team, signing on as a trainee in 2012.
