When Steve Harvey Discovers Family Feud Contestant Is Terminally Ill, He Makes A Remarkable Gesture…

Family Feud game show host, Steve Harvey, has the pleasure of dealing with people from all walks of life. Not many of the contestants, however, have made viewers cry. In the saddest family feud episode ever that is precisely what happened.

While every contestant on Family Feud hopes to win the Fast Money bonus round and the $20,000 prize that comes with a victory, but one man’s motivation for winning will leave you in tears. The man and his family had been playing for three days. They had yet to win the $20,000.

Steve said the man was sweating profusely during the entire time he was on the show. So much so that they even had to change his shirt. Steve tried to joke with him about the sweating, but backed off because “he was sweating too hard.” Steve knew something was amiss but had no idea what it was.

“And then finally he won the $20,000, and he just fell on his knees and wouldn’t stop crying. So they pick him up and finally I was talking to him after the show. I said, ‘Hey man, you’re pretty emotional about the $20,000.’ He says, ‘Steve, I’m terminally ill…I have three months to live, and because of my illness, I can’t get insurance. I need this money for my family.’“

The man opened up to Steve about the financial burdens that came with being terminally ill. Besides the pain and sadness, the family was plagued with mounting medical bills and, for the man’s family, an uncertain future without a steady source of income. His diagnosis was out of the blue, so he was unable to get the health coverage he needed to cover the cost of his medical expenses.

Steve Harvey was moved to tears, and he selflessly gave the man an additional $25,000.
