Working as a professional artist, Joel Rea’s photo-realistic paintings are truly a sight to behold. Since graduating from Queensland College of Art in 2003, Joel’s pieces have been shown at galleries all over the world. Photo-realism is one of the most technically difficult genres of art to master. The purpose of this art form is to reproduce an image or scene as perfectly as possible in another medium. We often associate this genre with paintings, but photo-realism can also take the form of sculptures, statues, dioramas, and animation.His work has become so renowned and respected that he has won several prestigious awards for it.
