Tone Jefe and his two young sons visited the Prince William County Police Department and gave the officers on duty at the station doughnuts. Jefe, who is an African-American man, wanted to show police officers that he cared for them and respects all that they do for his community. Jefe said his kids love police officers, and it was his oldest son’s idea to come and visit the station. Jefe’s actions come at a time when tensions between the police and civilians are high.
The response has been overwhelmingly positive. Over on the Prince William County Police Department Facebook page, the officers gave Jefe “two thumbs up” for his good deed and remarked that “you can never have enough doughnuts.”
