Firefighters in Washington state had to rescue a woman falls in toilet while attempting to recover her cellphone. Fire Chief Tim Manly of Brinnon’s department told The Kitsap Sun that the lady, who was at the summit of Mount Walker in the Olympic National Forest northwest of Seattle on Tuesday, was using her phone when it went into the toilet.

Manly claims that in an attempt to get the phone, she removed the toilet seat and used dog leashes, finally tying herself up with the leashes while reaching for it. That failed, and she plunged headlong into the toilet.

“They didn’t work very well and in she went,” Manly said.

It took her 10 to 15 minutes to figure out how to get out on her own. Manly claims that when she was reunited with her phone, she dialed 911. She was rescued from the vault using a harness attached to a set of bricks she stood on. It was reported that the lady claimed to be unhurt by the Brinnon Fire Department.

According to the fire department, she refused to seek medical assistance after being exposed to human excrement despite being washed down and “seriously persuaded to do so.”

“I’ve been doing this for 40 years, and that was a first,” Manly said.
