Considered by many to be one of the smartest creatures of the ocean, dolphins are incredibly social and caring animals. Like many other types of mammals, dolphins tend to live in large social groups for better protection from predators and to more easily hunt prey.
Of the few mammals that live in the ocean, dolphins share a lot in common with whales. Though whales are typically much larger, they are also very social and tend to live in groups called pods. The whale and dolphin featured in this video have both recently given birth. Considering that they are not natural enemies, it wouldn’t be too surprising for the children to get along as well.
