This Veteran Is Being Interviewed When He Experiences An Attack. Now Look What His Dog Does…

Erick Scott knows first-hand what suffering from PTSD is like, and because he’s affected by PTSD, Scott was paired with a special service dog, named Gumbo. Gumbo helps him to combat his anxiety.

And while taking part in the interview below, Scott said that he was amazed to see how his dog reacted when he became agitated.

PTSD or Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder develops in some people that have experienced something shocking, scary, or dangerous in their lives.

It’s completely natural to feel frightened during and after experiencing a traumatic situation. Fear can trigger many split-second changes in the body in an effort to help defend against danger or to help avoid it. This “fight-or-flight” response is a normal reaction that’s meant to protect a person from harm.

Almost everyone will experience a wide variety of reactions after a traumatizing experience, yet most everyone will recover from the initial symptoms naturally.
