We are plagued with all kinds of threats of toxins whether in our foods, in the air, or in the products we use.
Other habits like tobacco and medicines can add to the problem. Cleansing the body should be a must to combat all the toxins that it takes in.
Here are some signs that your body is full of toxins and needs to be restored to a healthier state:
1.Increased abdominal fat
Too much body fat can mean too many toxins. They interfere with the ability to regulate glucose levels and metabolize cholesterol properly.
Skin inflammation, rosacea and itchy skin are signs as the body is trying to eliminate the toxins in a natural way on it’s own.
Toxins will irritate the central nervous system, causing headaches to occur.
Forcing the liver to overwork means too many toxins are present. The body ends up overheating.
5.Low energy levels
Constant feeling of exhaustion is a sign of toxic overload.
Contaminated air can cause sinuses to flare.
Accumulating in the tissues, toxins will obstruct the circulation and this will cause insomnia.
8.Problems with the gallbladder
Deposits of toxins in the liver will create a heavy bile, leading to a clogged up gallbladder.
9.White or yellow coated tongue
Too many toxins are in your blood if your tongue is white or yellow.
Here are effective detox remedies:
- Epsom Salt Bath
This can raise the level of magnesium, needed for detoxing cells while eliminating the metals, and alleviating pain in the body.
Take 1-2 cups of Epsom salt in the bath and make sure the water is warm. Soak for 15 minutes. Do this three times a week. But if you have heart problems or high blood pressure you shouldn’t engage in this treatment.
- Green Tea
Abundant in antioxidants, green tea is very good at getting rid of free radicals while also having epigallocatechin-3-gallate (EGCG), a powerful antioxidant that prevents toxic damage of the liver.
Consume two to three cups of green tea every day. Taking green tea extracts at 100 to 750 mg per day can also be done.
Rich in antioxidants and vitamin C, they not only boost immune system function, but lemons are also a very potent alkalizer and detoxifier that triggers the liver’s bile production. It also stimulates mineral intake and absorption.
The peels are rich in an antioxidant called d-limonene, which activates enzymes in the liver. This helps with elimination of toxic compounds.
Consume a cup of warm water mixed with juice that you squeeze from one lemon upon waking in the morning.
Drinking one cup of warm water mixed with one one-half cup of lemon juice, one tablespoon of honey, and one teaspoon of cayenne pepper every day for a period of a few weeks can also be beneficial.
