We always thought rice cookers were just for cooking rice, these ten recipes proved us wrong. Some of these recipes will work well as a side dish, dessert or appetizer, while others can be an entire meal. Bon appetit!

3. Chocolate Cake.

This is a frittata that will turn out perfect every time. Whisk eggs, add a dash of milk and pour into your rice cooker. Add spinach, peppers, tomatoes, cheese and anything else your heart desires, then cook on the regular rice setting. When you can stick a fork in and it comes out clean, it’s ready to eat.
5. A Giant Pancake.
Imagine the looks on your family’s faces when they see this! Simply pour regular pancake batter in your rice cooker and wait about 45 minutes. You can see the recipe in action here.
Soak oats overnight, then pop them in your rice cooker for 30 minutes for a healthy start to the day.
7. Homemade Hummus.
