Police Officer Adopts Orphaned Baby Kangaroo And Lets Him Live Inside His Shirt

Cuejo, a baby kangaroo, was brought to a Western Australia Police station.  The baby was found inside his mother’s pouch after she was struck and killed by a car. That’s when he met Constable Scott Mason, the man who would fill in for his parent.

They immediately hit it off.

Fortunately for the little joey, Mason knows a thing or two about raising animals. Without a natural pouch of his own for Cuejo to nestle in, Mason’s had to improvise, and that’s where his shirts come in.

It’s only been a few days now since he was rescued, but Cuejo appears to be fitting in quite nicely with his new digs — and Mason couldn’t seem prouder.

We wish them all the best!
