A Man Donated His Late Wife’s Wedding Dress. What He Wrote To The Next Bride Is Touching…

St. Gemma’s Hospice, based in Leeds, is England’s largest hospice program. They provide quality end-of-life care for people with terminal illnesses. To keep their program funded, they run several charity shops throughout Leeds and accept donations from the community for support.

But one donation especially tugged at the heartstrings of St. Gemma’s staff. The donation was made anonymously, but you’ll see why everyone teared up when they saw it.

It was a mid-century wedding gown, in perfect condition.

But what made it so special was the note attached to the dress.

The note reads:

“I wish any lady who takes this dress to have a life with her loved one. 56 years like I did. Happy years. I was a lucky man to marry a lady like mine.”

St. Gemma’s has put out a call on their Facebook page to try to locate this mystery donor. In the meantime, the dress will be for sale on St. Gemma’s eBay page until June 19th.
