According to the American Cancer Society, roughly 95,270 new cases of colon cancer will be diagnosed in the United States this year alone. Scientists have been searching for a much safer, natural treatment option, and it appears, they may have found it.
Recent studies have shown that organic virgin coconut oil could be the new key to treating cancer. Coconut Oil is a superfood full of lauric acid. Lauric acid supports the immune system. Coconut oil tops the list of anti-inflammatory foods. Because of its medium-chain fatty acids, which are anti-bacterial, anti-carcinogenic, anti-fungal, anti-microbial, and anti-viral.
This ultra-healthy, all natural oil has recently credited with helping stabilize blood sugar and insulin levels, lower the risk of heart disease, assist in maintaining a healthy weight, and kill harmful fungi. The research is still ongoing, however, the results so far are incredibly promising. In vitro experiments conducted at the University of Adelaide saw 90% of cancer cells destroyed after just two days. Unlike in vivo experiments, in vitro tests are performed in a controlled environment.
This miracle oil could be a new alternative remedy for a wide range of other physical ailments. As the American Society for Nutrition notes, coconut oil “may be useful in treating and preventing diseases such as osteoporosis, virus-related diseases (mononucleosis, hepatitis C, herpes, etc.), gallbladder disease, Crohn’s disease, and cancer.” Doctors have also credited coconut oil in treatments for Alzheimer’s disease, Parkinson’s disease, Huntington’s disease, multiple sclerosis, drug resistant epilepsy, and diabetes.
